Remember this? The infamous headbutt Zidane gave Materazzi (whom I still firmly believe him to be in the wrong) that gave Italy their undeserved victory in the 2006 World Cup. Sadness… I was rooting for France. I still remember Sha and I saling ber-kutuking before the match, she exalting her Italian warriors, and mine the French ones. Or do you remember this? Cristiano Ronaldo’s notorious wink at Rooney after the referee sent Rooney off. That incident made me all the more anti-MU, anti-Portugal, anti-Ronaldo. Sorry all you who love MU, Ronaldo, and Portugal. The thing is, when it comes to football, the sport that seemingly brings the whole world together, each of us are unashamedly BIASED to the team we support. =P Come next June 2010, it’ll be time for the South African World Cup. More buzz, excitement, and the best part is, I think it’ll be still be holidays time hohoho. Not sure yet which national jersey to don, but definitely not- Brazil. See what I mean about biased? Lol.

Would I believe You when You would say Your hand will guide my every way Will I receive the words You say Every moment of every day Well I will walk by faith Even when I cannot see it Well because this broken road Prepares Your will for me Help me to win my endless fears You've been so faithful for all my years With the one breath You make me Your grace covers all I do Well I'm broken- but I still see Your face Well You've spoken- pouring Your words of grace - -Walk By Faith~Jeremy Camp- Great song!=) It’s study break now and my mind keeps conjuring up post A2 to-do lists each time I study. It used to be the time where we scouted around for cheap fridges, washing machines, hot plates, shelves etc etc (though we didn't buy anything from the seniors in the end, haha).
Well the time has arrived again!
Except this time,
We are the seniors,
We do the selling,
And we get scouted.
MUAHAHAHA.
But we're also the ones also sitting for A2 in two weeks time! Yet another examination in the coming long list of five and a half years more of examinations.
Gahhh.
Frequently heard comment:
"Aiyo!!! Doctor, dentist ah??? No life one lahhh!!!"
Got life, got life.
=D

Smacking delicious! Waking up to the sound of early pattering rain against the road, fresh with its slightly acidic smell. Breakfast at Thiam Fatt –a hot bowl of savoury pan mee- something I had been craving all week. Fresh coffee (not three-in-one thank you), tasting like what only well, coffee can taste like. The only glitch in all these wonderful perfection? Is… OH BLIMEY- I have to study!

This morning I had the privilege of chatting with my aunty over breakfast (I had not met her since I was 2 and fighting (physically) with my brother for HIS milk bottle). Haha. She was telling me of her early years in the UK, how she met my uncle and all that. She told me of my cousin meeting her future husband (now husband) in university and what they’ve been through since getting married. And my aunty said something that kind of stuck around. To her, love is not a warm fuzzy feeling, its not an emotion, but its everything 1 Corinthians 13 say it is. She said that now, (after 30 years or so of marriage), she loves my uncle even more than she did from the start, because of what they’ve been through together. I kind of thought that couples married long enough will get bored of each other and even though they may still be together, mid-life crisis and all that would sure strain their relationship, wouldn’t it? Commitment they may have to remain faithful and keep their family together, but to love even more than they had from the start? That’s God-sent. Is it possible?

It was still early (about one more hour before the briefing) so Li Yan, Susu, Agnes and I went to watch the planes. We didn’t see any planes take-off, or any land, but it was pretty cool all the same. We just sat there talking and I started taking black and white pictures (no, NOT EMO!!) it just looked cool and befitting for the occasion haha. =) Sometimes it just seems so amazing how time flies and before we know it its time to say goodbye. Fikri said that life is a series of hellos and goodbyes and I guess that’s pretty true. Over the past few months I have been to KLIA to see off the KLE seniors, Alicia, UGM Indon students, Daryl, Jagiellonian U (had to google that to get the spelling right, haha), and most recently the Czech students. Evon, Yu Xin The Genius, Adeline The Boss, Ye Ling and Agnes The Neighbor Who Cooks. It seemed just yesterday when we heard their voices and laughter shaking Tangga 2, saw them study like crazy in one year for AS, A2 and then entrance exams… and now in blazers ready to fly! When I was younger and the only reason visiting KLIA was to pick up my aunty from NZ, I used to wonder impatiently when would it be my turn to leave, not to pick up or send someone off. And I am ever so grateful to God for providing me with this scholarship that one day, I too might fly. It seems pretty long away (as all us India-bound people groan) but its coming all the same. I guess what we can do now is to enjoy family, Teluk Intan chee cheong funs and just enjoy…being home. Next week, Li Yan The Guitar Sifu will be off to Poland. Feli She Who Sat Next To Me For 5 Years=) to London. (Feli I am so sorry I stalked Facebook to get this picture of you it looks very nice hahaha) Missing and will miss all of you, take care!=) For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 8:38-39

They should have a Putra line right into the heart of KLIA. That would solve all my transport woes. (KLIA Express not counted!) Wishful thinking I know, haha.
